Project Description

To map the value chain of selected horticultural crops, surveys were conducted. Multiple stakeholders were interviewed, and baseline was created and the same was delivered to client along with the report in which assessment of current situation and strategies for development were provided.

The major activities which were carried out are:

  • Mapping of supply chain (from point of production to end user) for Lemon, Banana, Cabbage, Cauliflower and Chilli in Assam.
  • Mapping of existing marketing practices, supporting infrastructure, formal/ informal norms governing the market in Assam.
  • Mapping of actors and activities in the supply/ value chain of the selected crops.
  • Assessment of gap in infrastructure and required interventions for improving the Situation
  • Collection of secondary information, demand and price analysis, and assessment of national and international trade.
